All animals are equal but...

‘My sight is failing,’ she said finally. ‘Even when I was young I could not have read what was written there. But it appears to me that that wall looks different. Are the Seven Commandments the same as they used to be, Benjamin?’

The more our world resembles the distopian visions of Orwell, the sadder I get.

The hope is that more people will come to see the warnings in the words of people like Orwell, and then resist. The fear is that the vision of most people will be clouded.

It falls on those of us who can see the goals of the powerfull for what they are to act, and act soon and decisively.

I know, and I fear most people also won't figure it out. I guess though, that is something of all ages. That's why something like 'Animal Farm' (dealing with the Russian revolution) still seems topical and uptodate in many area's today imho.
